COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Our guests, their health and well-being are our highest priority.

And for this reason we have taken a series of measures and protocols for additional cleaning, hygiene and physical distance to guarantee the safety of our guests and us.

Preventive Cleaning and Security Measures

At Casa en la Plaza, Hinojares we work with high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Additionally, we have revised our processes, expanding frequency and disinfection measures to cover the new current health and safety circumstances.
These processes are applied in all areas of the house to guarantee our guests a safe stay.

Below we explain them for your information:

1. BEFORE / ON ARRIVAL
  • Immediately prior to your stay we send, via email, your Registration Form.  This should be returned before your Arrival.
  • We disinfect all keys to deliver them in complete safety.
  • We wear masks and implement physical distancing.
  • On arrival we take your temperature.
  • Once you have arrived we will request Identification Information required by the Guardia Civil. This is a legal requirement.
2. IN THE ROOM(S)
  • We wash bedding and towels at minimum of 60o.
  • During the cleaning of your room, we remove the laundry after the room has been aired for at least 4 hours.
  • We have removed the majority of decorative elements (cushions, table coverings) as a sanitation measure.
  • We clean, and then disinfect the surfaces, furniture and all the elements of the room and bathroom with highly sanitized products.
  • The room is continually ventilated before, during and after the cleaning process of the room(s).
  • If stay is 3 nights or less, there will be no housekeeping undertaken in the room(s).  So please, if you have any rubbish, please ensure it is placed in the bin.  Just a reminder that food should not be eaten in the room.
3. IN HALLWAYS & LIVING ROOM
  • We carry out a continuous sanitation of the elements, devices, surfaces and furniture that may be in contact with our guests.
  • We have the following protection elements for our guests:
    • Disinfecting gel.
    • Hygienic masks.
    • Disposable gloves

(These elements may be subject to additional charge)

  • We implement physical distancing
4. BREAKFAST
  • Each evening you will be sent, via email, a form to complete requesting your breakfast choices. This should be submitted before 23:00.
  • All crockery, cutlery & glassware is washed at high temperature in a dishwasher.
  • We carry out continuous cleaning of surfaces and furniture that may be in contact with our guests.
5. HYGIENE
  • Hand hygiene is considered one of the most effective measures to prevent the spread of germs and prevent COVID-19 infection.
  • We recommend guests to do frequent hand washing with soap and water.
  • There are disinfecting gels available in the entrance hallway for use when entering & leaving the house, as well as on the unit on the 1st floor.
6. PREVENTION
  • We use protective elements such as gloves and masks when greeting guests and serving breakfast.
  • Currently, the wearing of masks is COMPULSORY in Spain. This does not apply when you are eating or drinking in bars, restaurants etc. 
  • We have, thus far, had very few cases of Covid19 in Hinojares, we ask that to keep it that way; you must wear your mask whenever you are outside.
  • Cover your mouth with your elbow when coughing or sneezing, or use disposable tissues. 
7. PRIVATE AREAS OF THE HOUSE
  • We have applied the same reinforcement in hygiene and safety measures.

COVID-19 GUARANTEE

Once you have paid your deposit

  • If we as a business are unable to welcome you due to government measures of a lockdown or travel restrictions, we will, free of any charges, offer to move your booking to another date, or refund any monies paid. 
  • If you are unable to travel due to a government travel warning, we will offer you a Free Change of Date, if you cancel less than 14 days before arrival.  For cancellations more than 14 days in advance of your arrival date, we can change your date or offer a full refund of any monies paid.
  • Changes to bookings will be with no penalty and no price change – provided it is in the same seasonal band.
  • Changes to a higher band will be charged the price difference.
  • Changes to dates into 2022 will be subject to 2022 rates – which may be higher than 2021 rates.
